Are You Running From Your Goals Or Towards Them?

“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.Randy Pausch

While wearing golden handcuffs may be tempting and feel safe, comfort will only keep you anchored.

I believe that many people try to live their lives in such a way that they try to avoid problems and discomfort. They fear failure so much that they avoid setting goals.

Instead of acting on their ideas, they get stuck on contemplating them.

Your priority for a fruitful life is to be present on your journey. Your efforts, in turn, will compound in ways that you didn't expect.

Failure is movement

You're either running towards your goals or away from them.

Either way, failure, if listened to, is the best thing that could ever happen to you.

Whenever you become complacent, whenever you take things for granted, whenever you get lazy, there’s failure to snap you out of it.

Failure to act has taught me many things, not the least of which is that speed is strength; because ultimately, in a world of competition, those who reach the finish line first win the prize.

It's not just about speed, mind you; because contrary to popular belief, it's not our bodies that break under pressure, it's our minds.

It is all a mental game. It's about belief. Rational or irrational. It's about having tenacity. A warrior never wavers. They strike with conviction because it's mind over matter that prevails.

No matter what hell you have gone through, life goes on. Another day of processing what happened or why it happened won't change a single thing.

Be bold enough to put an end to your old story. You don't need an explanation.

Build a new identity from scratch, right from where you are.
