Humans Are Magic

“You can ask the universe for signs all you want; but, ultimately, we’ll only see what we want to see… when we’re ready to see it.” — Ted Mosby

Call me crazy, but I believe that you'll always get a version of what you want in the external world as long as you believe that you already have it (and deserve it) in your internal (mental) world.

Failure to obtain what you desire simply means that you didn't want it intensely enough.

For me, whenever it comes to achieving something, the sweet spot for a mindset is 80% assurance and 20% doubt. I'm confident in everything I'm doing for the betterment of my life, but there's a bit of fear pushing me to befriend faith and believe in the process.

We'll never get exceptional results if we only take action when it's convenient for us. Comfort breeds monsters. Perseverance builds soldiers.

🔗 As Jenny Kirk once said, “Any external change is always a result of what happens within.”

You may not understand all the little things adding up to one big whole right now, but life eventually always works in your favor if you see everything as naturally working for you.

At the end of the day, true power lies in your ability to control your emotions, your thoughts, your words, and your actions.

  • You can be reactive or proactive.
  • You can be a master or a slave.
  • You can be a victim or a hero.
  • You can be a warrior or a worrier.
  • You can be the sand or the storm.
  • You can be a martyr or a soldier.

The choice is up to you.

Heaven or hell?

Both reside within you.

This is the battle that you must fight over and over again until you become the hero of your own story and have your dreams reach fruit.

If you need a little more convincing, take it from Hughe Knatchbull-Hugessen, British Ambassador to China in 1936, who, in his memoir, once recalled a conversation that happened years prior. “Before I left England for China, a friend told me that a Chinese curse exists; ‘May you live in interesting times.’

While there isn't any evidence that such a curse existed, there's a lot of symbolism at play.

When we look back at our history, what we recall as most interesting are the moments when everything was happening all at once.

War, disease, famine, destruction, and the evolution of our world.

Our most defining moments are how we respond to moments of our greatest trials.

Think about your own life, as an example.

If you've ever gone through tough times, you'll know that they have been transformational. You may even want to undergo similar pressure again just so you can prove to yourself that you can push through them and thrive.

What was once able to break you, you're now able to handle with grace.

Man is no different from magic, for there's no force in this world that is stronger than a human who wants to achieve something.
